What Our Interns Say

“During my internship at S&B USA, I gained valuable experience in the field of civil engineering both technically and professionally. I learned how to manage and develop schedules for large-scale construction projects, as well as collaborate on ideas with a team. This hands-on experience not only sharpened my knowledge of the construction side of civil engineering, but also gave me confidence in my ability to contribute meaningfully to my field.”
Angelina Sweeney – Intern (summer 2024)

“I began working for Fay S&B as an intern on the Beaver River Bridge project before my senior year of college. After I graduated, I became a field engineer for Fay on the Pittsburgh International Airport project. Throughout my time with Fay, I have had the opportunity to learn a lot from many different people who have years of experience in construction, and who have all been very helpful and eager to teach me. My favorite things about working for Fay are the opportunity to be a part of amazing projects and working as a team with other engineers to solve problems.”
Matt Kanell – Field Engineer (summer 2023)

"In the last few months as a field engineer, I've learned that success in this job comes from a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills and effective communication. It's a role where you get to see the direct impact of your work every day."
Shawnah Thomas – Field Engineer (summer 2022)

We constantly strive to build value by providing safe, innovative construction solutions with quality employees.

Our mission is to stand out as the preferred solutions provider by creating a safe working environment, developing employees to their highest potential, treating clients and stakeholders with integrity and respect, and living our core values.
Work Safely
Safety is our culture. Our employees are our most valuable resource, and their health and safety are the direct result of teamwork and the commitment of all company and site personnel. We have established a culture of caring for our people, and we encourage our employees to believe in and commit to performing all tasks safely. Each and every employee must be dedicated to achieving zero at-risk behaviors by “living to be safe and accident free.”
Value People
Take care of employees, and they will take care of clients and stakeholders. People are the greatest asset of any organization. We exhibit this by respecting others; being honest in communications with co-workers, customers and business partners; and recognizing individuals for their efforts. We construct as one team and work towards one goal of providing the best possible services for our clients.
Act with Integrity
Honesty builds trust. Relationships are a two-way street: We strive to treat others as we wish to be treated by them—with honesty and respect. S&B USA matches behaviors to words and takes responsibility for our actions. Doing the "right" thing will always be rewarded.
Provide Solutions
Better solutions yield greater satisfaction. We take pride and personal satisfaction in the results of our hard work when innovation and creative thinking lead to solutions that provide better value to our clients.
Deliver Return
