S&B USA Construction Strengthens Growth Strategy with Strategic Leadership Hire

PITTSBURGH, PA – Today, S&B USA Construction named Peter MacKenna as its President and CEO. A seasoned veteran in strategic growth and operational success, Peter brings nearly 40 years of construction experience, 15 of which were spent in executive leadership positions.

“Peter is a proven leader who can manage strategic direction while emphasizing operational priorities. I know him to be a team-builder with a pragmatic problem-solving approach focused on results, while being committed to speed, process and integrity,” said Sharon Novak, CEO of S&B USA.

MacKenna has also served on the Construction Industry Ethics & Compliance Initiative CEO Roundtable, the Engineering & Computer Science Advisory Council at VMI and as an officer on the General Contractor Association of New York and other industry organizations.

“S&B USA Construction continues to make great progress on successfully executing large P3, Design-Build and Bid-Build projects,” said MacKenna. “My goal is to build upon this backlog and continue S&B USA Construction’s reputation as a leader in constructing large- scale infrastructure projects.”

Over the past year, S&B USA has started construction on a $1.2B flood diversion project in Fargo, ND, and was awarded two projects totaling approximately $425M in the Pittsburgh area, the location of its corporate headquarters. S&B USA was also awarded a large project as a JV partner with Skanska in the Baltimore area and is under a PDA with PennDOT for its P3 Major Bridges Program. S&B USA expects to continue to pursue more projects of similar stature.
